Keats Remodel

Project Description

For this project, the owner did all the demo…down to the studs.

We worked with Asterhouse Design so that made this project very simple.  They had the layout for me, and all the colors, and materials picked out.  We turned the middle bedroom into a master bathroom and walk-in closet.

The Challenges

The biggest challenge the fact that it was an old house.  None of the studs were straight, which required a lot of shimming.

Oakdale Kitchen & Bath

Project Description

For this project, we totally gutted the kitchen.  We reconfigured the kitchen, added better lighting, tiled the floor, installed custom cabinetry and under cabinet lighting, and tiled the backsplash.

The bathroom was gutted as well.  We removed the old window and install glass block.  We built a bench and inset shelves in the shower.  We also installed pocket doors to free up bathroom.

The Challenges

The biggest challenge was the time table.  We did this job while the family was on vacation, so some late hours were involved.

Farm House Remodel

Project Description

This farm house remodel involved removing the old kitchen from the back corner of the house and making that part a laundry room.  We built a wall separating the laundry room  from the new kitchen.

We also remodeled the basement bathroom, just off the “Man Cave”!

The Challenges

The kitchen didn’t present any supprises!  We had to be careful since the hardwood floors were not being replaced, but other than that it went really well.

The bathroom was a little more difficult.  The owner tore out the sheetrock to do some of the demo to save money, but we had to take out the concrete to replace old plumbing.  I would really of like to get the drain a little lower to give the shower more slope, but it wasn’t possible.  This was a fun job to do.  First time for putting galvanized metal in the shower.
